The thermal facilities are the real deal – I mean, you’re literally sitting in the same mineral-rich waters that Romans used centuries ago, which is pretty wild when you think about it. The staff seemed to actually know about the different thermal pools and their specific benefits, not just the generic “good for relaxation” spiel you get elsewhere. Honestly, the water temperature consistency was spot-on, and there’s something about soaking in those pools while looking out at the surrounding Domogled-Valea Cernei mountains that just works. Summer gets pretty busy with Romanian families on vacation, but even then it never felt overcrowded. I’d definitely go back, especially during shoulder season when the rates drop and you can really enjoy those thermal pools without the crowds. For a four-star property with an 8.6 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d hope for without any unpleasant surprises.
