When I was looking for a place to stay in the Carpathians, Арніка in урочище Красний turned out to be a real gem. This three-star hotel is located in a picturesque corner near Synevyrska Polyana, and I immediately understood why it’s so popular with tourists. Parking is free — that’s a big plus, especially when you arrive by car through the mountain serpentines. Check-in went smoothly, the staff is friendly and always ready to suggest the best hiking routes.
The rooms are quite cozy, though without any particular frills — exactly what you need after a day spent in the fresh air. Windows face the forest, so you wake up in the morning to bird songs instead of city noise. The food in the restaurant is homestyle with large portions — I especially recommend trying the local Carpathian dishes. The only thing to keep in mind — it can get a bit noisy in summer due to the large number of guests, but in autumn (when I was there) everything was perfectly quiet and peaceful.
What I particularly liked was the proximity to Lake Synevyr, which is literally 15 minutes away by car. Hotel Арніка becomes a great base for exploring the surroundings: thermal springs are nearby, and the most beautiful viewpoints are within reach. The 8.0 rating is well deserved — for this money in the mountains, it’s hard to find anything better. I’ll definitely come back again, maybe in winter — curious to see how everything looks covered in snow.
