I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Arce Boutique on Strada Castelului, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The street number is 35, which puts you right in this sweet spot where you’re close enough to Braşov’s old town to walk everywhere, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you actually get some peace and quiet at night. And trust me, after spending time in some of the hotels closer to Piaţa Sfatului where the party crowd hangs out until 2 AM, this was a relief.
What really got me was how they’ve managed to nail that boutique hotel vibe without being pretentious about it. You know what I mean – some places try so hard to be “boutique” that they forget about basic comfort. Not here. The whole place has this understated elegance that feels authentic, probably because it’s housed in what looks like a renovated historic building (though honestly, half of Braşov’s buildings have that charming old-world thing going on). The rooms are thoughtfully designed – I mean, someone actually considered where you’d want to plug in your phone and whether there’s enough light to read by. Small things, but they matter when you’re trying to unwind after hiking up to the Braşov sign or exploring Bran Castle.
The location is actually perfect if you’re planning to explore beyond just the city center. You’re about a 10-minute walk to the main square, but here’s the thing locals know – Strada Castelului connects you to some of the best hiking trails without having to drive anywhere. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in the medieval center. I stayed there during shoulder season in early October, and while the summer crowds were gone, the weather was still perfect for wandering around. The staff seemed genuinely helpful rather than just going through the motions – they knew which restaurants were worth the walk and which ones were tourist traps. That 9.6 rating isn’t just random; it’s because they pay attention to details that matter. The only minor thing I’d mention is that if you’re someone who needs everything to be brand new and shiny, this might feel a bit too authentic. But honestly, that’s part of its charm – it fits Braşov’s character perfectly, where centuries-old buildings sit next to modern cafes and somehow it all works together.

Location is perfect,in the old town center, restaurants and caffes just a minute away,very calm environment,clean and cozy room,,breakfast is reach and tasteful,served by personnel,hotel manager is very nice and polite person

Everything was great, the host is very helpful and friendly. We got there a bit later, we got instructions over the phone for self checkin and everything went perfectly. Street parking is a bit tricky to find but if you hunt down a spot for a few minutes you might get lucky. Otherwise there are some paid parkings in the nearby you can use. The place itself is very quiet, extremely comfy, it was very clean, we felt very well in there. It was warm, you can also control the radiators as per need, no issue with the hot water either. Location is just perfect, 2 mins away by foot from the old city center. I will come again, for sure.
The rooms are cozy and comfortable, the staff is really nice and attentive. ❤️
Breakfast is not buffet, but varied and tasty - coffee, juice, eggs, yoghurt, pastry.
The location is extremely close to city centre Piata Sfatului, aprox 3 min walk.

Perfect location near the "Brașov" hill.
Cozy, clean, and quiet. We checked in around 11:30 PM, and the host was very nice, guiding us to get the key.
The room was warm, even though we stayed on the 1st floor.
It was enormous—we loved it!

It's an amazing place in the heart of the Brasov old city. Everything is in within walking distance.
Very nice host, who is always ready to help. Room: It was very specious and good furnitured (Only at one point I missed a big mirror to look at myself full-length). Especially I enjoyed blanket and pillows. Very clean and comfortable bathroom, here is no problem with water all over the bathroom after the shower, because everything was done thoughtfully.
And I MUST to mention, how I enjoyed delicious breakfasts at this place. Every day fresh and tasty! Thank you so much, I'll definitely stay here again and will recommend to my friends

Great location, excellent breakfast, beautiful setting. The Old Town location had great restaurants and shops, history, and charm. Our host was very thoughtful about our stay being enjoyable. We needed an extra night, and our host accommodated us.
