ApartSerwis – Gorące Źródła Apartament Morskie Oko
You know what surprised me most about ApartSerwis – Gorące Źródła? It’s actually on Jagiellońska street, which honestly doesn’t sound like much until you realize you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from those famous thermal springs everyone comes to Zakopane for. I mean, the name gives it away – “Gorące Źródła” means hot springs – but when I first booked it, I was thinking it was just another apartment rental with a fancy name. Boy, was I wrong.
The building itself is pretty understated from the outside, sort of blends into the neighborhood in that way Polish mountain towns do – nothing flashy, just solid. But once you’re inside the Morskie Oko apartment (named after that gorgeous lake, obviously), it actually feels like someone’s put real thought into making travelers comfortable. The thermal spring access is the real deal here – not some touristy add-on, but proper facilities where you can actually soak those hiking muscles after a day scrambling around the Tatras. What I loved is that you’re not fighting crowds like at some of the bigger thermal complexes. There’s something almost intimate about it, especially if you go in the evening when most day-trippers have headed back to Krakow.
The apartment setup works really well if you’re planning to stay more than just a night or two. I had a little kitchen situation going – there’s a decent market just down the street where you can grab some of those amazing Polish sausages and fresh bread. Parking was straightforward, which honestly is half the battle in Zakopane during peak season. The place gets a 9 rating from guests, and I get why – it’s that sweet spot where everything just works without any drama. No fancy marble lobbies or concierge service, but the hot springs are right there, the apartment’s clean and functional, and you’re close enough to the main drag that you can walk to restaurants but far enough that you’re not dealing with tourist chaos outside your window. Plus, if you’re planning day trips to places like Morskie Oko itself (the lake, not just the apartment name), you’re perfectly positioned – the bus routes and hiking trailheads are all accessible from this part of town. It’s honestly the kind of place where you end up staying longer than planned because leaving those thermal springs behind feels like a genuine loss.
