ApartSerwis – Gorące Źródła Apartament Lodowa Kopa 1
Look, I’ll be straight with you about ApartSerwis – this isn’t your typical glossy hotel experience, but honestly? That’s exactly why it works so well. The name’s a mouthful (Gorące Źródła Apartament Lodowa Kopa 1 – yeah, I had to write it down), but locals just call it “the apartment building near the hot springs,” which tells you everything you need to know about why you’d want to stay here.
The location on Jagiellońska is actually perfect if you know Zakopane at all. You’re maybe a 10-minute walk from Krupówki – close enough that you don’t need to plan your whole day around getting into town, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos right outside your window. I mean, Krupówki’s great for the evening scene and souvenir shopping, but you don’t want to be trying to sleep above it, you know? What really sold me on this place though is how close you are to the thermal pools – and I’m talking about the good ones that locals actually use, not just the touristy spots. There’s something pretty magical about coming back from a day of hiking (or attempting to hike, in my case) and knowing you can soak your tired legs in natural hot springs without having to trek across town.
The apartment itself is… well, it’s honest. Three stars means three stars – you’re getting clean, functional space without a lot of frills, but everything actually works, which isn’t always a given in this price range. The heating’s solid (crucial in Zakopane, trust me), and there’s enough space to spread out your hiking gear without tripping over everything. What I really appreciated was having a proper kitchenette – not because I’m some amazing cook, but because sometimes you just want to make coffee at 6 AM without hunting down an open café, or grab some oscypek cheese from the market and not worry about where to store it. The building’s pretty quiet too, mostly because it’s filled with other travelers who’ve figured out this same sweet spot between location and value. Check-in was surprisingly smooth – none of that “sorry, your room isn’t ready until 4 PM” nonsense, and the woman managing the place actually gave me decent recommendations for trails that weren’t completely packed with tour groups. Honestly, with an 8 out of 10 rating, you’re looking at a place where people consistently leave satisfied rather than disappointed, and in Zakopane’s competitive apartment rental scene, that says something. It’s not Instagram-perfect, but it’s the kind of place where you actually sleep well and wake up excited to explore the Tatras rather than stressed about your accommodation.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
