ApartSerwis Gorące Źródła – Apartament Kozi Wierch
Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Zakopane over the years, but ApartSerwis Gorące Źródła’s Kozi Wierch apartment honestly surprised me. You know how sometimes you book a place and wonder if you made the right call? Well, this wasn’t one of those times. The moment I walked into this spot on Jagiellońska, I could tell someone actually cared about making it feel like home rather than just another rental property.
The location is what really sold me though – I mean, you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from the hot springs (hence the name, right?), but here’s what the booking sites don’t tell you: you’re also perfectly positioned to dodge the worst of the tourist chaos while still being close enough to everything that matters. The street itself is pretty quiet, which honestly made all the difference after long days hiking in the Tatras. I could actually sleep without earplugs, which… let’s just say that’s not always the case in Zakopane during peak season. The apartment itself feels properly mountain-cozy without being kitschy – they’ve got that whole alpine thing down without going overboard with the wooden bear sculptures, if you know what I mean.
What really impressed me was the attention to practical stuff that most places completely overlook. The heating actually works (crucial in shoulder season), there’s proper water pressure in the shower, and honestly, the kitchen setup is better than what I have at home. I ended up cooking a few meals because, well, dining out every night in Zakopane can get expensive, and also because I genuinely wanted to use that kitchen. The whole place just felt… solid, I guess? Like someone who actually stays in rentals designed it, rather than someone who just owns them. Plus, the view toward Kozi Wierch – which the apartment’s named after – is pretty spectacular on clear mornings, especially with coffee in hand. The only minor thing I’d mention is that parking can get a bit tight during busy weekends, but that’s more of a Zakopane problem than a property problem. Bottom line: if you want to experience Zakopane like someone who actually lives there rather than just passing through, this place gets it right.
