Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of apartments around Braşov, and honestly, most of them are pretty forgettable. But this little gem on Nicolae Labiş street? It’s actually something special. The location threw me off at first – you’re basically in a residential building, ground floor, which had me wondering if I’d booked some random person’s spare room. But the moment you step inside, you get it. Someone really thought about what travelers actually need.

The “chic” part isn’t just marketing fluff – there’s this clean, modern vibe that feels more like a boutique hotel than someone’s apartment. The kitchen actually works (I mean, you can cook real meals here, not just reheat leftovers), and the shower has proper water pressure, which… well, if you’ve traveled through Romania, you know that’s not always a given. What I really appreciated was the attention to small stuff – decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, blackout curtains that actually block light, and enough outlets near the bed for all your devices. You know what I mean?

Here’s the thing about the location that took me a while to figure out – you’re perfectly positioned without being in the tourist chaos. The old town is maybe a fifteen-minute walk, which sounds far until you realize you’re avoiding all the crowds and noise but still close enough to wander over for dinner. Plus, you’ve got actual grocery stores and normal restaurants nearby where locals eat, not just the touristy spots. Parking was surprisingly easy too – there’s space around the building, and honestly, in Braşov that’s worth its weight in gold. The area gets quiet at night, which I wasn’t expecting from a residential block, but it’s that good kind of quiet where you can actually sleep. I stayed there during shoulder season, so I can’t speak to summer crowds, but even with families in the building, it never felt noisy or chaotic. The 9.9 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be fancy or impressive, it’s just really, really good at being exactly what you need.
