Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to Apartment Beatris on Horská Street – I mean, the address sounds pretty standard for this part of Slovakia, but wow, this place really surprised me. It’s tucked into this quiet residential area that feels authentically local, you know? Not touristy at all, which I actually loved because you get to see how people really live around here.

The apartment itself is way more spacious than the photos suggest (and trust me, I’ve learned to be skeptical of hotel photos). What struck me first was how clean everything was – like, genuinely spotless, not just surface-level tidy. The owner clearly takes pride in this place, and it shows in all the little details. The kitchen has everything you’d actually need if you wanted to cook, which is rare these days, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. I’m pretty picky about mattresses, but I slept really well here. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly too, which honestly made my work calls so much easier than trying to deal with dodgy hotel internet.

Location-wise, you’re not in the thick of tourist central, but that’s actually a good thing if you ask me. It’s quiet enough that you can actually sleep without street noise, but you’re still close enough to walk to decent restaurants and cafes. There’s a small grocery store maybe five minutes away if you need basics, and parking wasn’t a nightmare like it can be in some of these older neighborhoods. The 9 rating makes complete sense once you stay here – it’s one of those places where everything just works the way it should, without any unpleasant surprises. Sure, it’s not fancy luxury or anything, but sometimes you just want a clean, comfortable place where you can relax without worrying about whether the shower will work or if someone’s going to be vacuuming outside your door at 6 AM. Plus, the value is incredible – you’re getting way more space and comfort than you’d get at a hotel for the same price. I’d definitely stay here again if I’m back in the area.
