Overview
You know what really surprised me about Apartmány Urban? It’s one of those places that actually lives up to its high rating – and honestly, after staying at some overhyped spots in Slovakia, I wasn’t expecting much. But this place on Rovná street gets it right in ways that matter.
First off, the location is pretty clever. You’re right in Poprad, which I mean, isn’t exactly Prague, but it’s got this authentic Slovak town vibe without feeling touristy. The apartment is on the second floor of what looks like a fairly new building, and the moment you walk in, you realize someone actually thought about how travelers live. The kitchen isn’t just for show –– there’s proper cookware, the fridge is full-sized, and they’ve got those little touches like decent coffee and actual dishwasher tablets. I spent a morning making breakfast while watching people head to work below, and it felt sort of like having a temporary life there rather than just passing through. The Wi-Fi actually works everywhere (shocking, I know), and the beds are firm in that European way that somehow leaves you feeling more rested than those squishy hotel mattresses.
What really sold me on this place was how quiet it gets at night. Poprad can be surprisingly bustling during the day –– there’s always someone heading to or from the High Tatras –– but Rovná street settles down beautifully after dinner. You can hear the occasional car, but it’s more of a gentle reminder that life’s happening rather than the constant urban buzz you get in bigger cities. The heating works perfectly too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re in Slovakia during shoulder season. I actually found myself staying in more evenings than planned, just because the space felt so comfortable. The design is clean without being sterile –– lots of wood and warm colors that make you want to settle in with a book. And honestly, the value for money is ridiculous. Four stars and a 9 rating usually means you’re paying premium prices, but these apartments feel like someone’s genuinely trying to give travelers a good experience without gouging them. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too –– none of that awkward “here’s seventeen things you need to know” speech that some places dump on you. Just keys, a genuine smile, and the sense that they actually want you to enjoy your stay.

Cleanliness, fully-equipped, new, comfortable
Definitely the best apartment we stayed at during our holidays. The host is super nice, very welcoming, was always available to us for questions. The apartment was really clean, smelled good, had everything you will need and even more. Thank you for an amazing stay.
The apartment was exactly as described. Everything worked perfectly. Pavol the host greeted us and showed us around. The apartment is separated off from the other apartments by a separate door. Everything is key fob operated, much safer than using codes. It was the best kitchen with of course the Siemens coffee machine, the cherry on the cake! There was enough crockery and cutlery to fill the dishwasher, something that most hosts think is a luxury. There were 5 saucepans and 2 frying pans, all unscratched and in excellent condition. Another thing most hosts fall short on. We were able to use the oven because thoughtfully foil, baking and cling film had been left, along with olive oil, salt, pepper and flour. There was no shortage of consumables, coffee, toilet paper, dish washing tablets and washing machine detergent. Most hosts are very stingy, and leave 2 dishwasher tablets, don't provide a sponge or a tea towel. We made 3 course meals and could clean up after ourselves. Not many apartments we have stayed in, come as well equipped. The bedroom was dark enough, the bed huge and very comfortable. You could change your towels and get additional supplies from a cupboard in the corridor, which also had maps and tourist brochures. There was even a safe, bathrobes and slippers. The cleanliness was superb. The shower never ran out of hot water. It was quiet at night. Location - excellent - 4 mins walk to a big Lidl, 10 minutes via the underground d passage to the edge of town and practically opposite Aquacity (which we didn't go to). Oh and the two massive Tvs with Netflix came in handy for the rainy days. In short, a superb stay. When we last came to Poprad it had not been built. When we come again, we would definitely choose these apartments again.
This was the best holiday apartment we have ever stayed in! We loved everything about it. It was modern, clean and comfortable and very close to a big shopping mall and restaurants. The host Pavol was the best! He collected us from the bus station and left us gifts in the apartment. We highly recommend this apartment to couples or families visiting Poprad! We extended our stay because it was so great and would definitely stay again.

Top Coffee machine
The host was extremely helpful! Not only could we check in early, when we reached the airport and our taxi did not arrive, the host arranged to pick us up from the airport. Our stay was excellent and the apartment was in an excellent location and was perfectly clean :)
The apartment was extraordinarily well equipped, clean and the hosts were very friendly. The location of the hotel is calm, but still in walkable distance to the city center, train station or supermarket.
Very nice and extremely clean flat, highly equipped with modern instruments
very nice location from which in 30 min you can reach all destinations to visit.
