ApartmanTatryView
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around the High Tatras, but ApartmanTatryView genuinely surprised me – and honestly, that doesn’t happen often anymore. The name pretty much tells you everything you need to know, but what it doesn’t capture is just how stunning those mountain views actually are from apartment 22. I mean, you wake up and there’s Lomnický štít just sitting there like a postcard, except it’s real and you’re having your morning coffee looking at it.
The location on Tatranská street is actually perfect if you know the area. You’re right in Veľká Lomnica, which most tourists skip on their way to the cable car, but that’s their loss. It’s this quiet little town where you can actually hear the mountains – if that makes sense – without the crowds that swarm Tatranská Lomnica proper. The apartment itself is in building B, and yeah, finding the right entrance took me a minute (it’s clearly marked once you know what you’re looking for), but once you’re inside, it feels more like staying at a friend’s place than some sterile hotel room. The furnishings are modern without being cold, and there’s actual space to spread out, which you don’t always get in mountain accommodations.
What really got me was the attention to practical details that solo travelers and families both need. The kitchen is fully equipped – I’m talking proper cookware, not those flimsy tourist apartment basics – which matters when you want to grab fresh bread from the local bakery and make a real breakfast before heading up to Skalnaté pleso. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the apartment (tested it during a rainy afternoon when hiking was off the table), and the heating is solid, which you’ll appreciate if you’re visiting during shoulder season when the weather can be unpredictable. Parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in some mountain towns – there’s designated space, and you don’t have to circle around looking for a spot after a long day on the trails. The noise level is pretty much non-existent; you might hear some early morning hikers heading out, but otherwise it’s properly quiet. Check-in was straightforward, though I’d recommend confirming your arrival time ahead of schedule since it’s not a traditional hotel setup. Honestly, the 9-point rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be a luxury resort, but it delivers exactly what mountain travelers actually want: comfort, views, and a base that doesn’t feel like you’re camping indoors.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
