You know what surprised me most about Apartman Patris 33? It’s actually tucked away on the third floor of this building on Rekreacna street, and I was honestly worried it might feel cramped or stuffy — but when you walk in, the space just opens up in this really welcoming way. The location in Tatranská Štrba is pretty perfect if you’re planning to explore the High Tatras, though I should mention it’s not right in the village center (which turned out to be a good thing, actually, since you avoid most of the tourist crowds and noise).

The apartment itself feels like someone’s well-loved mountain retreat rather than a sterile rental. I mean, you can tell the owners actually care about the details — there’s proper cookware in the kitchen (not those flimsy tourist apartment pans), decent Wi-Fi that doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the beds are surprisingly comfortable. The third-floor position means you get these nice views of the surrounding area without feeling like you’re living in a fishbowl. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven around Slovak mountain towns during peak season will appreciate. The whole building is quiet — I stayed there in July when things get pretty busy, and you’d hardly know there were other people around.

What really sold me on this place, though, is how it works as a base for exploring the region. You’re close enough to the ski lifts and hiking trails that you don’t need to plan your whole day around transportation, but far enough from the main tourist strips that you feel like you’re actually experiencing the area rather than just visiting it. The hosts were responsive when I had questions about local hiking routes, and they clearly know the area well. Honestly, for a 4-star rating, it punches above its weight — the 9-point rating makes total sense when you factor in the value and the genuine comfort of the space. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time in the apartment itself, not just crash between activities.

The apartment is very modern and the right size for a medium-sized family. It includes a fully-equipped kitchen, ideal to prepare any kind of meals. There is plenty of storage space around the apartment, as well as in the bathroom (we've stayed at many apartments, and this is the one with the most bathroom storage space we've ever stayed in). There is a nice view of the mountains from the spacious balcony. Parking is very convenient, in a connected underground garage with a designated space. Overall, everything is very well laid out and planned. There are sufficient electrical outlets to charge the many smart gadgets which modern families have, and the lighting around the apartment is nicely done and adds charm. For those who like their clothes looking sharp, an iron and ironing board are conveniently available. The location is good - around 15 minutes drive from the popular Štrbské Pleso. There are also a couple of restaurants within walking distance, as well as a small grocery store. Larger supermarkets such as Tesco and LIDL are also only around 15 minutes away. The train station is also close by, should one opt to use this option to travel We stayed during the winter and we had the option to change the heating temperature to ensure it was always warm and comfortable. The owner communicated well with us and offered clear and easy instructions to enter the apartment and garage. She was also available to assist if needed. An added bonus for kids is that there are toys available to play with. We also enjoyed the board games.

Super lokalita, nadherny vyhled. Velke plus je parkovani v podzemni garazi. Na ubytku bylo vse popsano a pripraveno (káva do kavovaru, caje, povleceni vcetne gaucoveho vonelo). Na tepelnem komfortu se nesetrilo (s zenou jsme studenomilove) :D

Labai nuostabūs apartamentai. Viskas iki pačių mažiausių smulkmenų apgalvota svečių patogumui. Nepakartojamas vaizdas į kalnus. Patogus ir saugus parkingas, lengvas ir paprastas raktų perdavimas. Puikus kainos ir kokybės santykis. Važiuojame į Slovakijos Tatrus jau 8 metus, bei gyvenome skirtinguose miestuose ir apartamentuose, tad galiu pasakyti, kad tai kol kas buvo geriausi apartamentai iš visų. Didelis AČIŪ šių apartamentų šeimininkei.

tolle große und top-ausgestattete Wohnung mit großzügigem Tiefgaragenstellplatz in perfekter Lage mit Blick auf das wunderbare Bergpaorama, kurze Wege zur Bahn und zum Einkaufen, in der Wohnung ist alles vorhanden, was man sich nur wünschen kann, die Gastgeberin ist super-nett und unkompliziert, die Schlüsselübergabe war bei An- und Abreise zeitunabhängig völlig mühelos

Pekný, priestranný a vkusne zariadený apartmán s výhľadom na Tatry, plne vybavený - práčka, sušička, automatický kávovar, žehlička, vysávač, umývačka riadu a mnoho ďalšieho...naozaj tam bolo všetko čo človek potrebuje :-). Ak cestujete s dieťaťom ako my, tak bola tam aj detská stolička, detské knihy a box s hračkami. Výborné bolo aj vyhradené parkovacie miesto v podzemnej garáži, ktorá je priamo súčasťou apartmánového domu. Nám sa veľmi páčilo.
