You know what caught me off guard about Apartman Lio? Walking into the Javorinka building, I honestly expected just another standard mountain apartment rental – but this place actually has some serious thought put into it. The location on Tatranská is pretty sweet too, because you’re literally steps from the cable car station (I mean, you can hear it running in the morning, which is either charming or slightly annoying depending on how early you want to get up).
The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish mountain retreat rather than a typical rental property. The furnishings are actually comfortable – not just IKEA basics thrown together – and there’s this nice attention to detail with local touches that you don’t usually see. What I really appreciated was the kitchen setup; it’s properly equipped if you want to cook after a day on the trails, which honestly saves you from having to eat out every single meal in Tatranská Lomnica (trust me, your wallet will thank you). The Wi-Fi was solid too, though let’s be real, you’re probably here to disconnect anyway. One small thing – the building can get a bit echoey with people coming and going, especially during peak season when families are hauling ski gear up and down the stairs.
Here’s what sold me on this place though: the hosts clearly know the area inside and out. They’ll tell you which hiking trails are actually worth your time (skip the touristy ones, honestly) and where locals go for the best goulash. Plus, parking is included, which – if you’ve ever tried finding a spot in Tatranská Lomnica during summer or ski season – you’ll know is basically gold. The whole experience feels more like staying with knowledgeable friends than just renting an apartment. The 9-star rating makes total sense once you’re there; it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just really, really well done. Perfect for couples or small families who want easy access to the High Tatras without the tourist hotel scene.

Very clean, spacious, well-equipped apartment. Apart from the standard equipment, there were radio cd player, glassware for different kind of wine , coffee bean, baking paper, cling film. ……. The host Gustav was very friendly and helpful.

Az apartman tökéletes választás kisebb családok számára. Nagyon jól felszerelt, tágas, kényelmes, tiszta, és Gustav nagyon kedves vendéglátó.
Az apartmanhoz zárható sítároló is tartozik, amit a mélygarázsból lehet megközelíteni, ez is nagyon kényelmes.
Közel van a központhoz és a sípályához is.
