Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Aparthotel Prestige & SPA on Paryskich street, I wasn’t expecting much. The building’s got that slightly industrial look that a lot of newer Zakopane hotels have, but you know what? Sometimes you’ve got to get past first impressions. Once you’re inside, the whole vibe shifts – there’s this clean, modern aesthetic that actually works really well against the mountain backdrop you can see from most windows.
The location is what really sold me on this place, though. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the main Krupówki pedestrian zone (which gets absolutely packed during ski season, fair warning), but tucked away enough on Paryskich that you’re not dealing with the constant foot traffic and street performers at all hours. I mean, if you want to stumble back from one of those traditional highlander restaurants after a few too many żubrówkas, you’re golden. Plus – and this is huge if you’re driving – they actually have decent parking, which is like finding gold in central Zakopane. The spa facilities are honestly better than I expected for a 4-star place. The pool area has these big windows looking out toward the Tatras, and there’s something pretty magical about soaking in warm water while snow’s falling outside. The treatment rooms are legit too, not just an afterthought like some hotels throw together.
What I really appreciated were the little details that show someone’s paying attention. The aparthotel setup means you get a proper kitchenette, which is clutch if you want to grab some oscypek cheese and fresh bread from the market instead of eating out every meal. The rooms are spacious enough that you’re not tripping over your ski gear, and the soundproofing is solid – important when you’ve got families with kids in the building. Check-in was smooth, no drama, and the staff actually knew the area well enough to give decent recommendations beyond the obvious tourist spots. They pointed me toward this little café on a side street that I never would’ve found otherwise. The only real downside? Well, you’re paying for that location and those spa amenities, so it’s definitely not budget territory. And if you’re here during peak season (Christmas through February, basically), book way ahead because this place fills up fast. But honestly, for what you get – the space, the facilities, being able to walk everywhere but still escape the chaos – it’s pretty solid value for Zakopane standards.
