Apartel Skhidnytsya turned out to be a real gem in Skhidnitsa — I didn’t expect such a level of comfort from a five-star hotel in this small resort town. Located on Kotlyarevskogo Street 88, the hotel sits in a quiet area, yet just a 10-minute walk to the center with its mineral springs. Parking is free (which is rare for Skhidnitsa in summer), though spaces aren’t always available during peak days — better to arrive by evening. Check-in went smoothly, staff speaks Ukrainian and Polish, which is very convenient given the proximity to the border.
The rooms are spacious and modernly equipped — I had an apartment with a kitchenette, which proved extremely practical for a longer stay. I especially liked the quality of mattresses and pillows (I’m picky about sleep), and the fact that windows are well-insulated from street noise. The only downside — sometimes you can hear neighbors upstairs, but it’s not critical. Wi-Fi works stably even on upper floors, which is important for remote work. Breakfast is served until 10:30 — nothing special, but everything’s fresh, and the coffee is better than I expected. The grounds are small but tidy, with a little relaxation area with benches.
The hotel is especially beautiful in autumn — you can see the colorful Carpathians from the windows, while summer gets a bit hot due to lack of air conditioning in some rooms (worth clarifying when booking). Overall impression — 8 out of 10, excellent price-to-quality ratio for Apartel Skhidnytsya. I’ll definitely return, especially during off-season when there are fewer tourists and you can peacefully enjoy the local springs.
The concierge service in the Carpathians can arrange exclusive Hutsul village tours, secure private mineral spring visits, and organize trips to ancient Khotyn Fortress and pristine Synevyr Lake.
