Apartamenty ZakopanePoleca – Krupówki Centrum
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about Apartamenty ZakopanePoleca, I was a bit skeptical. The name’s a mouthful, and “different locations” usually means you’re playing apartment lottery. But honestly? These guys have figured something out that most Zakopane accommodations miss completely.
The thing is, they’ve scattered these apartments strategically around the centrum area, and I mean *actually* close to Krupówki – not that “10-minute walk” nonsense that turns into a 25-minute uphill trek with your luggage. When I stayed there last winter, my place was literally two blocks from the main pedestrian strip, tucked on one of those quieter side streets where you can actually sleep at night but still hear the distant buzz of the market stalls setting up in the morning. You know what I loved? Walking out for my morning coffee and seeing the Tatras just looming there at the end of the street – no craning your neck around buildings or squinting through power lines.
The apartments themselves are… well, they’re not luxury, but they’re thoughtfully done. Three stars that actually feel like three stars, if that makes sense. My kitchen had everything I needed to make breakfast (crucial when you’re dealing with Zakopane restaurant prices), and the heating worked properly – which honestly puts it ahead of half the places I’ve stayed in Polish mountain towns. The owner, Marcin I think his name was, really knows his stuff about the area. He texted me recommendations for hiking trails that weren’t crawling with tour groups, and when I mentioned I was there for the ski jumping at Wielka Krokiew, he told me exactly which bus to catch and where to grab the best oscypek on the way back. That’s the kind of local knowledge you can’t Google, you know?
What really sold me was the flexibility of it all. Some friends joined me mid-week, and instead of cramming into my studio, they got us a bigger apartment just three streets over – same area, same vibe, but with space for four people and a proper living room where we could spread out our hiking maps and argue about which trail to tackle next. The check-in was refreshingly simple too, none of that formal hotel desk drama. Just a quick meet-up, keys handed over, and “call if you need anything.”
I mean, sure, you’re not getting room service or a concierge in a fancy uniform, but honestly, who needs that when you’re in Zakopane? You want to be out exploring anyway. The value here is in the location and the fact that someone actually cares about your experience – not just getting your money and forgetting about you. That 9-point rating isn’t inflated tourist nonsense; it’s people recognizing when someone’s doing hospitality right without all the unnecessary frills. If you want to feel like you’re staying in Zakopane rather than just visiting it, this is your spot.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
