Overview
You know what? I wasn’t expecting much when I first pulled up to Konstytucji 3 Maja street – I mean, it’s not exactly the postcard-perfect mountain village center you imagine when you think Karpacz. But honestly, that turned out to be one of the best things about Apartamenty u Rzepióra. The location is actually brilliant because you’re close enough to walk to all the main stuff (the cable car to Śnieżka is maybe a 10-minute stroll), but you’re not dealing with the crowds of tourists stumbling around at all hours like you would right in the heart of town.
The apartment itself – well, it’s clear someone actually lives in this area and knows what travelers need. The kitchen isn’t just some tiny afterthought with a broken coffee maker; it’s properly stocked with real dishes, decent knives, and even some local tea bags left behind (which I appreciated after hiking all day). The bathroom has that slightly Eastern European tile work that somehow feels both dated and charming at the same time, but the water pressure is fantastic – honestly better than some fancy hotels I’ve stayed at. What really got me though was the little details: proper blackout curtains (crucial if you’re trying to sleep in during summer), extra blankets that are actually warm, and windows that open wide enough to let in that crisp mountain air without letting in too much street noise. Speaking of noise, it’s surprisingly quiet at night – I was worried about being on a main street, but Konstytucji 3 Maja settles down pretty early.
The whole setup just works, you know? The owner clearly gets that people come to Karpacz to hike and ski, not to spend all day in their room, so everything is practical without being spartan. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward standing around while someone explains twenty different amenities you’ll never use. And parking… well, let’s just say if you’re driving up from Wrocław or wherever, you’ll actually find a spot, which is more than I can say for a lot of places in the Karkonosze area. I’d definitely come back, especially in winter when the whole street probably looks like a snow globe and you can stumble back from the ski slopes without navigating tourist central. That 9.2 rating isn’t just because it’s new or flashy – it’s because someone figured out how to make a simple apartment feel like exactly what you need after a day in the mountains.

I liked the price and host the most. The contact was good. It is not easy to find a way to park a car, but in the Booking there is a good explanation picture by picture how to do it. It was close to main promenade, shop and restaurants as well as to the route on Sniezka mountain. There was hot water, a kettle and nice furniture (not Ikea), new windows. Two parking places next to the building.
What could be improved: I felt cheated by the rating 9.3 on the booking and by the opinions.
The apartment is located in the worst building in the city ( I went for a walk and there was only one worse with broken windows and doors but it was to be demolished). It doesn't help if you renovate a flat if the entire building needs to be demolished or renovated. It smells badly with cigarettes, mold, moisture, and fuel - because in the bottom of that some very poor people live and their son keeps his small motorbike in the hall. The 'garden view' means 7 meters to busy street and bus stop with 2 bushes in between. At first apartment looked clean but you could find dust behind the TV, in the bathroom, under furniture, some tiny spiders; the smell of citron air freshener was unbearable. So I opened the windows. When I closed them it turned out that every furniture smell like cigarettes - wardrobe, uncomfortable bed, walls. There was a weird heating system on the celling and it was September, and it rained with 8 degrees outside so when I turned it on it was warm in the apartment after 1-1.5 hour. If you got your clothes wet there was no place to make them dry. The humidity was too high. The apartment was tiny, if you opened the sofa you would only have 3-4 quadrat meters left. I couldn't open the doors from the wardrobe fully, because there was a bed and no room for it. The second part of wardrobe was locked (probably for cleaning lady things). It was too small for two people. I simply wanted to cry when we arrived. I searched for other apartments in the neighborhood but prices were high and I was tired and I didn't want to move to another town. My friend told me not to worry because we saw worse. The apartment took third place on my The Worst Apartment List. It was only two nights and we kept our things in our bags, but when we returned home we needed to wash everything we had due to stinky smell of cigarettes. I didn't like it there at all.

Apartament super, przestronny i wygodny, jest deska do prasowania. Rewelacyjna lokalizacja + kilka moejsc parkingowych dla samochodów osobowych.
What could be improved: Mimo wszystko jest to apartament w kamienicy z dość obskurną klatką schodową. Ale żadnej patologii nie stwierdzono :)
