I mean, Tetmajera isn’t exactly a main thoroughfare – it’s more like one of those quiet residential streets where locals actually live, which honestly made the whole experience feel more authentic. The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious (and I say surprisingly because, let’s face it, most European “apartments” can barely fit a suitcase). Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – no fancy lobby nonsense, just practical efficiency that gets you settled quickly so you can get on with exploring.

What really won me over was how the place handles the little things that matter when you’re actually living somewhere for a few days. The kitchenettes are properly equipped – not just for show – and there’s decent water pressure in the showers, which anyone who’s stayed in older Polish buildings will appreciate. The windows are thick enough that you can actually sleep through the night without hearing every conversation from the street below. And here’s something I didn’t expect: the heating works really well, which is crucial if you’re visiting during shoulder season when Zakopane can get unexpectedly chilly. The whole setup feels like someone actually thought about what travelers need rather than just throwing together whatever looked good in photos.
