Honestly, when I first pulled up to the Sun & Snow Triventi Mountain Residence on Karkonoska Street, I wasn’t expecting much from a 3-star place. But you know what? Sometimes the best surprises come in unassuming packages. This aparthotel sits right in the heart of Karpacz, and I mean literally – you’re maybe a five-minute walk from the main drag where all the restaurants and souvenir shops cluster together, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with the tourist chaos at all hours.
The building itself has that clean, modern mountain lodge vibe without trying too hard to be fancy. What really sold me was the apartment setup – and these are actual apartments, not just hotel rooms with a mini-fridge shoved in the corner. I’m talking full kitchens where you can actually cook (which is a godsend when you’re staying more than a couple nights and getting tired of restaurant food), separate living areas, and balconies that look out toward the Karkonosze mountains. The morning view with your coffee is… well, it’s the kind of thing that makes you understand why people move to places like this. During my stay in late spring, I could hear the chairlift running up to Kopa nearby – not loud enough to be annoying, just enough to remind you that you’re in proper ski country.
What impressed me most was how the staff actually seemed to know the area. When I asked about hiking trails, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic brochure – he told me which paths would be muddy after the recent rain and suggested a route that most tourists miss entirely. The parking situation is straightforward too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re lugging ski gear or hiking boots around. I stayed during shoulder season, so it was pretty quiet, but I imagine this place fills up fast during peak winter months given that 8.6 rating isn’t just for show. The apartments themselves are clean and well-maintained – nothing luxury, but everything works properly and the beds are actually comfortable (you’d be surprised how many mountain places cheap out on mattresses). Plus, having a washing machine in the unit is clutch when you’re doing outdoor activities all day. If you’re looking for a base camp in Karpacz that won’t break the bank but still feels like a proper home away from home, this place delivers exactly what it promises.

It was very clean, furnished with everything for cooking. Very cosy small facility. We felt like at home. It is very close to the lifts, even you could see the cabins from the windows of the room.
