Apartamenty Sun & Snow Karpatia

The apartments are fresh and crisply clean. Everything that's needed for cooking and eating was there. Beds are comfortable. Location is close to the ski lift for the beginners. There is Zabka shop nearby. WIFI connection is nice and much needed it as the cell coverage is very weak.

What could be improved: Really bad check in experience. The site is pretty big with four blocks, two underground garages and several open parkings. Everything is highly automated with pass codes everywhere. The welcome message is highly ambiguous and slow to load so I had to spend around 15 minutes running around the area in darkness and freezing rain to figure out all the details. There is no map provded in electronic form or on site. The number signs on the buildings are small and located only on entrances and the entrances are not readily seen. Building 5F has a long stairs and a pathway to get into that adds more fun with heavy bags. Parking is a total mess. All parking spots belong to certain apartment and are allocated randomly so I had to run around again to find the right one. One of the apartments we rented had a parking space in some another place with zero instructions how to get there with no information about that until we arrived. Next day I helped a few newcomers who had the same problem.
The support claims to speak several languages but in practice they speak only Polish. It's a call center so there is basically FAQ and that's it. I had placed a request to get adjacent rooms for my large family when booking, but they just go with the rooms you selected and there is no way to understand where the rooms are. The support says that they can't change the rooms as it's defined by booking.com. During our stay I got like 10 templated emails for no reason.
The walls are paper thin so you can hear all the neighbors and people moving through the front door. The view from the ground floors is usually pure concrete.
This experience absolutely wasted our first 24h of our vacation. Sun&Snow again? Thanks, but no thanks!

Location
There is a small slope about 300m from the apartments which is good to teach kids skiing/snowing. City centrum is about 1600m by walking distance which is acceptable, but I would not recommend to go there by walking with kids or during dark time because there is no pavement and the road is not lighted. Better to go by car or take a taxi. Ski Arena is ~3.6km from the apartments.
There is a nice walking route on Karpatka you can go to directly from the backyard of the apartments.

What could be improved: I came on holidays so the office was closed and I got keys in the safe. There were no complete instructions in it so I spent almost 15 minutes trying to find the apartment and the garage. Host was not accessible by phone. Thanks to the neighbors who told me the code from the entrance door to the ”E” building, it was not provided by host. Car garage is limited by height 2.1m.
There were almost no even basic hygiene supplies in the apartment and I had to buy toilet paper, which was not easy when the shops are closed for the holidays.
My apartment was too small for 5 persons, especially living area combined with kitchen (5E/2). My daughter had to sleep on the sofa in the kitchen.
When we finally came in the apartment there was a dirty spot on the sofa but at this moment I already tried to contact the host three times and got no answer. So my impression was that I should not expect much from them and it’s better to concentrate on my holidays. We simply covered the sofa with the line and forgot about that.
As a final chord, the evening I came home after check out I got a message that I was charged for sofa cleaning, about ~35 euro from my deposit. All my messages/mails with complains were again ignored. Looks like the host tries to earn some money on deposits.
If you book it, I would recommend to carefully check the whole apartments, make photos of any issues you found and discuss them directly in the office during your vacation.

What could be improved: 2 piętro bez windy (to w sumie nic, ale chciałoby się takie wiedzieć naprzód). Brak mikrofali, więc do rozgrzewania jedzenia patelnia lub piekarnik. Duży balkon, ale widok na sąsiednią działkę z pół rozwalonymi domami-stodołami
