You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first pulled up to these apartments on Konopnickiej Street – the building looked pretty standard from the outside, nothing too fancy. But then you walk inside and realize Sun & Snow actually knows what they’re doing here in Karpacz. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s well-appointed flat than some cookie-cutter hotel room.
The apartments themselves are surprisingly spacious, and I mean actually spacious, not just “European spacious” where you’re bumping into furniture. Each unit has a proper kitchen setup (not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation), which honestly saved me a fortune since Karpacz restaurants can get pricey during ski season. The living areas have this clean, Nordic-ish vibe – lots of light woods and neutral colors that somehow manage to feel cozy instead of sterile. What really caught my attention was how quiet everything was, even though you’re right in the thick of things. The windows must be pretty decent quality because I barely heard any street noise, and trust me, Konopnickiej can get busy with all the tourists heading to and from the slopes.
Location-wise, you’re actually in a sweet spot here. It’s maybe a 10-minute walk to the gondola station – close enough that you’re not dealing with shuttle buses or expensive taxi rides every morning, but far enough away that you escape the chaos of all those day-trippers. There’s a Żabka convenience store literally around the corner (life-saver for late-night snack runs), and you can walk to most of the decent restaurants without breaking a sweat. I particularly loved being able to stroll over to the market square in the evenings – it gets this nice, laid-back atmosphere once the tour buses clear out. The staff deserve a mention too; check-in was refreshingly straightforward, no weird upselling or confusing key card situations. They actually seemed to know the area well when I asked about hiking trails, which you’d be surprised how rare that is. The 8.6 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not trying to be some luxury resort, but it absolutely nails what most people actually want: clean, comfortable space with a proper kitchen, solid location, and reasonable prices. Perfect for families or anyone planning to stay more than just a night or two.
