Okay, so I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Apartamenty sudeckie nad zalewem III on Tęczowa Street, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name’s a bit of a mouthful, and finding it in Marczyce felt like discovering a little secret tucked away from the usual tourist chaos. But here’s the thing – sometimes the best places are the ones you stumble upon rather than the ones plastered all over Instagram.

The location is actually brilliant if you know what you’re getting into. You’re right by the reservoir (that’s what “nad zalewem” means, by the way), and I mean literally a stone’s throw from the water. I’d wake up to this misty, almost magical view every morning, especially during those early autumn days when the whole area feels like it’s wrapped in a soft blanket. The apartment itself – well, it’s clear someone put real thought into the details. The kitchen had everything I needed (and I’m pretty picky about having proper coffee-making equipment), plus there’s this cozy living area where you can actually spread out and feel at home. What really got me was the quiet – you know how some places claim to be peaceful but then you’re kept awake by traffic or neighbors? Not here. The only sounds at night were maybe some distant water lapping and the occasional bird.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before I went: parking is straightforward, which is such a relief after dealing with cramped city spots, and the check-in process was refreshingly simple – no standing around a fancy lobby for twenty minutes. The owners clearly know their stuff because everything just… works. The WiFi is solid (I had to do some work calls), the shower pressure is actually decent, and they’ve got blackout curtains that mean you can sleep in properly. I mean, it’s rated 9.8 for a reason, right? The area around Marczyce is perfect if you want to explore the Sudeten region without dealing with crowds – you’re close enough to hiking trails and some really lovely small towns, but far enough from the madness that you can actually relax. I spent a couple of evenings just walking along the reservoir with a beer from the local shop, watching the light change over the water. It’s the kind of place where you go for three nights and end up wishing you’d booked a week.

A great place for a peaceful getaway! We especially enjoyed the grill area where we happily cooked dinner. The hotel’s location is simply wonderful, surrounded by beautiful nature. The view from the window was stunning. The apartment was clean and cozy, with everything we needed. The staff were polite and helpful. We’ll definitely come back again...

Really beautiful apartment situated in old and nicely renovated house. Especially garden is very charming, it´s divided to 4 sections equipped with different types of fire places - so guests can sit outside in private :) Marczyce is small village very close to Jelenia Gora, there are lots of activities in near, also by foot :) Shop Biedronka is about 1km far and also restaurant with Polish cousine. The host was very nice to us. The only (and a little) complaint we have was that in apartment downstairs (we were in 2nd floor) was a family with a little child and she was running each morning a marathon from 7:30 :D... that was unfortunately very noisy, specially because normally the apartment is so quiet. But except of this everything was just perfect!

Ganz liebe Gastgeber:innen, die uns für Silvester Abend ein ganz tollen Platz mit Feuerschale und Lichterketten hergerichtet haben. Hundefreundlich war es dort auch :)

What could be improved: Einzige Manko, es gab in der Küche Töpfe die nicht für induktion geeignet waren und wir waren etwas verwirrt :p

Bardzo urokliwe i zadbane miejsce, widać ogrom włożonej pracy właścicieli. Zarówno ja, mąż jak i dzieci chętnie wrócimy za rok ☺️ Pozdrawiamy przemiłych właścicieli 🙂

What could be improved: Jeśli miałabym się do czegoś przyczepić to byłby to brak pralki...ale to już czepialstwo bo ogólny komfort przebywania w tym miejscu jest na wysokim poziomie.

Ubytovani je stylově vymazlené. Velmi vkusně doladěné detaily. Samotná vesnička je pak skvelým výchozím bodem pro spoustu výletů.
