The beds are surprisingly solid too, which is something you don’t always get in mountain towns where places sometimes prioritize views over sleep quality. You’re maybe a 10-minute walk to all the action, but when you want to escape back to somewhere that feels more residential and peaceful, you can actually do that. Plus – and this matters if you’re driving – parking here doesn’t involve circling blocks for twenty minutes like it does closer to the center. The family running the place speaks decent English and actually knows the area, so when they give restaurant recommendations, they’re not just pointing you toward the obvious tourist traps. I ended up at this little place they suggested that served the best oscypek I had during my entire stay, and I never would’ve found it otherwise.
