The location is honestly brilliant if you know Zakopane at all. You’re close enough to Krupówek that you can easily walk to all the tourist madness – the street food, the highlander music, those crazy wooden souvenir stalls – but you’re just far enough away that you won’t be dealing with drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. I actually appreciated that distance more than I thought I would, especially after spending a few evenings exploring the main drag. The walk back gives you just enough time to decompress, and Grunwaldzka itself is pretty quiet once you step off the main tourist circuit. Parking was straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven through Zakopane during peak season will tell you is basically a miracle.

Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that overly formal hotel reception drama. The 9 rating it’s got makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just genuinely well-done. For a 3-star place, it punches way above its weight, and honestly, I’d stay here again without hesitation.
