The location is honestly perfect if you’re here for the mountains – I mean, you’re literally at the base of the Tatras, and when I say base, I’m talking about being able to walk to the cable car station without breaking a sweat. The building itself is pretty understated (nothing fancy from the outside), but that’s actually refreshing in a town where some places try way too hard to look “alpine chic.” The apartments are spacious – like, actually spacious, not just “European spacious” – and they’ve got this practical setup that makes sense for families or groups who want to do their own thing instead of being tied to hotel meal times.

What really won me over was how quiet it gets at night, which honestly surprised me given how close you are to everything. The Kuźnice area can get pretty busy during the day with all the hikers and tourists heading up to Kasprowy Wierch, but once evening hits, it settles down nicely. The apartments themselves are clean and well-equipped – the kitchens actually have everything you need, not just a sad little kettle and some mismatched plates. I appreciated that the owners clearly understand what travelers want: good wifi (because let’s be real, even in the mountains we need to stay connected), proper heating for those chilly Zakopane nights, and bathrooms that don’t make you feel like you’re camping indoors. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than a typical rental.

Here’s the thing about staying here – you’re perfectly positioned for both the touristy stuff and the more local experiences. Sure, you can hop on the cable car or take the funicular up to Gubałówka (which gets crazy crowded, especially on weekends), but you’re also close enough to walk into town for dinner at one of those basement restaurants where locals actually eat. The walk to Krupówki takes maybe 15-20 minutes, which is perfect because you can enjoy the evening atmosphere without dealing with parking in that madness. Plus, if you’re into hiking, you’ve got trailheads practically at your doorstep – the path to Morskie Oko starts nearby, and honestly, doing that hike early in the morning before the tour buses arrive is one of the best experiences you can have in this area. I’d definitely stay here again, especially in shoulder season when Zakopane shows its quieter, more authentic side.
