The staff knows their stuff too; they gave me proper directions to the lesser-known hiking trails, not just the touristy ones everyone finds online. Plus, if you’re traveling in shoulder season like I was, you’ll find the whole area much more authentic. Summer gets busy with Polish families, winter brings the ski crowd, but spring and fall? That’s when you get Kowary at its best – quiet, affordable, and honestly pretty charming once you settle in for a few days.
