Overview
You know what caught me off guard about Apartamenty Forma Tatrica? It’s actually tucked away on this quiet residential street – ul. Ciągłówka – which honestly feels like a bit of a discovery when you’re walking through Zakopane. I mean, you’re literally a stone’s throw from all the main action on Krupówki (the pedestrian street where everyone ends up eating oscypek and buying those carved wooden souvenirs), but you’re far enough removed that you can actually sleep at night without hearing drunk tourists stumbling around at 2 AM. The building itself has this modern, clean-lined look that stands out against the traditional highland architecture everywhere else, but not in a jarring way – more like someone finally figured out how to do contemporary mountain living right.
The apartments themselves are genuinely spacious, which is refreshing because let’s be honest, most places in Zakopane’s center pack you in like sardines during peak season. What I really appreciated was the kitchen setup – it’s not just some token mini-fridge and hot plate situation. You can actually cook a proper meal, which comes in handy when you’ve been hiking around Kasprowy Wierch all day and don’t feel like dealing with restaurant crowds. The bathrooms are surprisingly well-designed too, with decent water pressure (always a gamble in older Polish buildings) and heated floors that feel amazing when you’re coming back from winter skiing. I stayed during shoulder season in late October, and while the Tatras were already getting their first snow caps, the apartment stayed perfectly warm without feeling stuffy.
Location-wise, you’re basically positioned perfectly for exploring both the touristy bits and the more authentic local spots. The bus stop for routes up to Morskie Oko is maybe a 10-minute walk, and if you’re into the whole Giewont hiking thing, you can easily walk to the trailheads without needing to figure out parking – which, trust me, becomes a nightmare during summer weekends. What really sold me on the place was the little details that show someone actually thought about what travelers need: proper blackout curtains (essential when you’re trying to sleep in during those long summer days), USB charging ports by the bed, and decent WiFi that doesn’t cut out every time someone in the next room starts streaming. The check-in process was smooth, no weird key handoff logistics, and the staff actually knew the area well enough to give useful recommendations beyond the obvious tourist traps. It’s one of those places that manages to feel both polished and authentic – like staying in a really well-designed local apartment rather than some generic hotel room that could be anywhere.

Clean and beautiful apartments. Free parking. The best choice for this price i guess.
Very nice staff. Friendly. Helpful. The facility is nice. You have everything you need.
This little cosy apartment needs much more attention from the owner!
First, the guy on the reception was totally miss communicating with us! I wrote to him our arrival time, and we did arrive on time ( as spoken )
We parked, and there was no number 7! Nowhere! There are two buildings, each with 3 entrances, so: no number 7! We made a few rounds ….no entrance! I have send him a new message, no answer! Called the phone number which I was given, got just answering machine! After 7 hours of driving, and walking all around at - 7 C, we loved to enter our payed accommodation!
Finally, after 20 minutes of getting frozen outside, I have got a new message, come to the reception!!??
You have a reception??? It was never mentioned! Why?
Instead of the address of no 7, ( which does not even exist ) it should be written: “There is a reception in the first building, entrance no 1, I’ll be there”
When we finally entered, the guy told me: you should have call! And I DID CALL, but no answer! He said: ‘oh, it is a manager telephone, you should call another…. I called the phone no I was given upon my booking! So, complete miss communicating.
In the apartment, there were a few broken things, which need just a good organisation to fix it, not to wait for the guests with broken towel hanger, broken shower, broken tap in the kitchen. The bathroom without a heating. First night I was literally frozen. Next day, the heating was fixed ! So, I think that this little lovely apartment need more attention, to be cared for!
The girls at the reception, all 3 of them were very kind, smily, and lovely!
There are no facilities!
Kitchen should be much more equipped!
This was our 10th time in lovely Zakopane, and we know very well what should be in the kitchens! Just for example, we missed the toaster a lot!
About the bathroom: there is a very, very small sink! So, you cannot wash your face, without washing your feet as well! So, water splashed everywhere!
Cozy and calm accomodation near the everything important in Zakopane - grocery, city center, Thermal Spa, skiing opportunities. Very comfortable bed, lot of space in the apartment. Safe private parking outside for free, a cheap parking possibility in the garage. Good equiped kitchen. And very helpful and kind staff. Highly recommended!
I had some issues with my booking wherein i booked on the wrong dates and they were kind enough to still help me out with the room even after their working hours.
The rooms were spectacular, and they even had a Shattaf (hand bidet)
Heated floors were just super comfortable.
The apartment was great, warm , clean and beautiful.
Modern, new, relatively big, fully equipped apartment.
Nice and helpful staff, almost immediate response to our questions.
This is a good and well-equipped apartments, located in quiet suburbs with a 30min walk or a 10 min drive to Krupowki. A nice placement can speed up you if you are going out of Zakopane for skiing or hiking.
The apartment was very clean. Kitchen has all the utensils and pan to cook your own food.
The property manager Eva was really lovely, she goes beyond offering usual services. She even helped us with information and even let us stay after the checkout while we were waiting for our bus back to Katowice. Overall a lovely place with all necessary amenities. Highly recommend and will stay here again!
