Look, I’ll be straight with you about Apartamenty EverySky – Willa Grota – it’s one of those places that doesn’t quite live up to the glossy photos online, but honestly? That 5.8 rating pretty much tells the whole story. I mean, when you’re walking up to ul. Piastowska 1, the building itself looks decent enough from the outside, sort of that classic Polish mountain architecture you see all over Karpacz, but once you get inside… well, let’s just say the charm is more rustic than refined.
The thing is, the location actually works in its favor – you’re right in the heart of Karpacz, which means you can stumble to most of the main attractions without dealing with the nightmare of finding parking (trust me, parking in this town during ski season is basically a contact sport). The apartments themselves are pretty spacious, I’ll give them that, and if you’re the type who doesn’t mind doing a bit of your own cleaning and maybe bringing your own extra towels, you’ll probably be fine. The kitchenettes are functional enough if you want to avoid eating out every meal – which, honestly, might be smart since restaurant prices here can get pretty steep during peak season. What bugs me is the inconsistency; some units are clearly better maintained than others, so it’s basically apartment roulette when you check in.
Here’s what I wish someone had told me before booking: the walls are thin enough that you’ll become intimately familiar with your neighbors’ sleeping habits, and the WiFi has a mind of its own – sometimes blazing fast, sometimes nonexistent. But you know what? If you’re planning to spend most of your time hiking up to Śnieżka or hitting the slopes anyway, maybe that’s not such a bad thing. The staff tries hard, even if their English is hit-or-miss, and they’re genuinely helpful when you need directions to the better hiking trails that tourists usually miss. I actually appreciated that they didn’t try to oversell the place – very Polish, very straightforward. Would I stay here again? Probably not as my first choice, but if everything else was booked and the price was right, I wouldn’t run screaming either. It’s functional accommodation in a town where you’re really paying for the location and the mountain access, not luxury amenities.
