Apartamenty EverySky – Pusta 8

You know what? I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Karpacz, but Apartamenty EverySky on Pusta 8 really caught me off guard – in the best way possible. First thing you notice pulling up is how quiet this street is compared to the main drag where all the tourist buses rumble through. Pusta literally means “empty” in Polish, and honestly, that’s kind of perfect because you get this peaceful vibe that’s rare in a ski town that can get pretty hectic during peak season.

The apartments themselves feel like someone actually lives there year-round, not like those sterile hotel rooms where everything’s bolted down. I mean, there’s real personality in these spaces – maybe it’s the way the light hits the windows in the afternoon, or how the kitchen actually has decent knives and pans you’d want to cook with. The setup works brilliantly if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights because you can hit up the local Żabka for groceries and actually make breakfast without feeling like you’re camping. What really sold me though was the view situation – depending which unit you get, you’re looking out at the Karkonosze peaks, and on clear mornings (which happen more often than you’d think), you can see all the way to Śnieżka.

Parking’s sorted without any drama, which if you’ve ever tried finding a spot near the cable car station in January, you’ll appreciate. The whole area’s got this residential feel where you’re walking distance to the main attractions but you’re not dealing with the noise from groups stumbling back from the bars at 2 AM. It’s maybe a 12-minute walk to get to Wang Church or the cable car – not exactly next door, but close enough that you won’t be cursing the distance when you’re carrying ski gear. The rating of 9 makes total sense because while it’s not trying to be some fancy resort with a spa and concierge, it nails what most people actually want: clean, comfortable space with character, reasonable prices, and a location that feels authentically Polish rather than tourist-trap generic. Plus, the hosts seem to actually care about the place staying nice, which shows in all the little details you don’t notice until you’re settling in for the night.
