Apartamenty EverySky – Dom Orkana 9

Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Dom Orkana 9, I wasn’t expecting much from what looked like a pretty standard apartment building in Karpacz. But these EverySky apartments? They actually surprised me in the best way possible. The building sits right on Orkana street, which is basically perfect if you know anything about getting around this mountain town. You’re close enough to walk to the main drag where all the restaurants are, but far enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists stumbling back from the bars at 2 AM (trust me, that matters more than you think when you’re trying to sleep off a day of hiking).

What really got me about this place was how they’ve managed to make these apartments feel like actual homes rather than those sterile hotel rooms that all look the same. The kitchens are properly equipped – I mean, you can actually cook a real meal here, not just heat up instant noodles. The living spaces have that mountain lodge vibe without being all kitschy about it, and honestly, after spending days tramping around the Karkonosze mountains, having a proper sofa to collapse on felt like luxury. The bathrooms are modern and clean, which… well, you know how hit-or-miss that can be in mountain towns. Parking was surprisingly easy too – there’s space right there, and you don’t have to do that thing where you’re circling blocks looking for a spot while your car overheats on these steep streets.

The location is really what makes this work though. You’re maybe a ten-minute walk from the cable car station if you’re heading up to Śnieżka, and there’s this little grocery store practically next door where you can grab supplies without having to drive anywhere. The building itself is quiet – I stayed there during peak season and barely heard the other guests, which is saying something. The 8.1 rating makes sense to me; it’s not trying to be some fancy resort, but it delivers exactly what you want from a mountain getaway. The check-in was smooth, the WiFi actually worked (crucial for those of us who can’t completely disconnect), and the whole setup just felt… comfortable, I guess. Like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have really good taste and lives in one of Poland’s prettiest mountain towns. If you’re planning to spend your days exploring the area rather than lounging around a hotel pool, this is exactly the kind of base camp you want.
