They gave me directions to this hiking trail that doesn’t show up in guidebooks, and when I mentioned I was looking for a good place to buy oscypek cheese, they didn’t just point me toward the market stalls on Krupówki. They told me about this little shop tucked away where the locals go. That kind of local knowledge is worth its weight in gold when you’re trying to experience a place beyond the surface level. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no upselling, no lengthy presentations about amenities you’ll never use. Just keys, quick rundown of the neighborhood, and genuine suggestions about timing your trips to avoid the weekend crowds at Morskie Oko. Sure, the building has that slightly Soviet-era concrete feel from the outside, but once you’re inside, it’s cozy in that mountain town way that makes you want to come back with a book and stay longer next time.
