What really struck me was how quiet this little stretch of Bogdańskiego is, especially considering you’re literally a stone’s throw from all the Krupówki madness (and trust me, during peak season, you’ll appreciate having a peaceful retreat).

The apartments themselves – and I mean this in the best way – feel like staying at a friend’s place rather than some corporate hotel room. There’s actual character here, with wooden accents that remind you you’re in the Tatras, not some generic ski town. The kitchenettes are surprisingly well-equipped too, which honestly saved me a fortune since eating out in Zakopane every meal can get pricey fast. I actually ended up cooking breakfast most mornings and just enjoying the mountain views with my coffee. The whole building has maybe a dozen units, so you’re not dealing with crowded elevators or fighting for parking spots – speaking of which, parking was never an issue, unlike some places closer to the main tourist drag where you’re circling blocks hoping for a miracle.

What really gets me about this place is how the owners clearly give a damn. I mean, you don’t get a 9-rating by accident, right? The check-in was smooth, the place was spotless, and when I had a question about local hiking trails, they actually knew what they were talking about instead of just handing me a generic brochure. During my stay in late spring, the place was busy but not chaotic – families heading out for Gubalówka, couples planning their Morskie Oko hikes, that kind of crowd. The walls are solid enough that you’re not hearing every conversation from next door, which honestly matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to recover from a day of mountain adventures. If you’re looking for a place that feels authentically Zakopane without the tourist trap markup, and you want to actually relax instead of feeling like you’re camping in a lobby, this is your spot. Just don’t expect a concierge or room service – but honestly, that’s not why you come to the mountains anyway.
