Just got back from Апартаменти Velvet Rooms in Skhidnitsa, and I can say it was a pleasant surprise! When I booked this three-star complex, honestly, I didn’t expect much from a small resort town, but these apartments really lived up to expectations. Located on Budivelniy Lane 11, they’re in a quiet area, but still close enough to the center — about 10-15 minutes walk to the main mineral springs. Free parking right by the building, which is very convenient, especially if you’re driving from Lviv or other cities.
The apartments turned out to be more spacious than they looked in photos — I had a one-bedroom unit with a separate kitchen and balcony overlooking the mountains. The furniture isn’t brand new, but everything is clean and functional, with all the essentials for cooking (which is important since Skhidnitsa doesn’t have tons of restaurant options). Check-in was smooth, the hosts are friendly and ready to help with advice about local trails. The only thing that was slightly bothersome — sounds from neighboring apartments, the walls aren’t very thick, so if you’re planning complete peace and quiet, keep that in mind.
Overall, for the money, it’s a great option for those coming to Skhidnitsa for mineral water treatments or just to relax in the Carpathians. I especially recommend spring and fall — summer can get a bit crowded here, and in winter not all trails are accessible. The 8.0 out of 10 rating is well-deserved — nothing extraordinary, but quality, clean, and reasonably priced.
