Just got back from Apartments Mandry in Yaremche, and I have to say — it was much better than I expected from a four-star place in the Carpathians. Located on Kurortna Street, the apartments are right in the heart of the resort area, but still far enough from the main road to avoid constant car noise. Parking is a whole separate story: there’s a small lot near the building, but it’s better to arrive before noon while spots are still available. The accommodation itself was a pleasant surprise — the kitchen is fully equipped (they even have decent pots!), and the window offers a beautiful mountain view, especially in the morning when the fog hasn’t cleared yet.
What I particularly liked was how thoughtfully everything was arranged for relaxation. The hosts left a map with marked hiking trails (very useful for waterfall hikes), and in the fridge we found a small surprise in the form of homemade jam and a brochure about local attractions. Check-in went smoothly, though we had to wait about ten minutes — the manager was helping other guests with some questions. By the way, if you’re going in winter, keep in mind that the heating works great, but hot water can sometimes be “moody” in the mornings — probably due to high demand during peak season.
Overall, for the money we paid, Apartments Mandry lived up to expectations. Yaremche is generally a wonderful place for a short break from city hustle — the air here is different, and you can spend hours on the balcony watching how the lighting changes on the mountain slopes. The only downside worth considering is the rather thin walls between rooms, so if neighbors turn out to be “chatty,” it might be a bit uncomfortable. But that’s more of an exception than a rule. I’d come back here again, especially in autumn — they say it’s particularly beautiful then.
