And here’s something most people don’t think about: you’re positioned perfectly for exploring beyond just Zakopane itself. Day trips to places like Chochołów or even crossing into Slovakia feel more doable when you’re not fighting tourist traffic just to get out of town. It’s sort of the best of both worlds – you get the authentic Zakopane experience without feeling like you’re camping out in Times Square.
