Apartament Trzy Świerki – w objęciu natury, obok głównego deptaka – by SpaceApart
Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Karpacz, but Apartament Trzy Świerki genuinely surprised me – and honestly, that 9.7 rating isn’t just marketing fluff. The name translates to “Three Spruces,” which you’ll get the moment you step outside because you’re literally surrounded by these massive pine trees that make the whole place feel like you’re camping, except with proper plumbing and WiFi that actually works.
The location on Nad Łomnicą street is sort of perfect in that accidental way – you’re close enough to the main pedestrian zone that you can stumble back after dinner without calling a taxi, but far enough that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing at 2 AM. I mean, Karpacz can get pretty rowdy during peak season, especially around the cable car area, but this spot stays surprisingly quiet. The Łomnica stream runs nearby (hence the street name), and you can actually hear it at night if you crack the windows open, which is way more relaxing than it sounds. There’s decent parking too, though you might have to do some creative maneuvering if you’re driving anything bigger than a standard hatchback – the mountain streets here weren’t exactly designed with modern cars in mind.
What really sets this place apart is that it feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile rental unit. The owners clearly know Karpacz well because there are these little touches everywhere – local hiking maps that aren’t the tourist trap versions, recommendations for restaurants that locals actually eat at (not just the ones on the main drag), and they’ve got the apartment stocked with stuff you’d never think to pack but always need. The kitchen has proper cookware if you want to hit the local market and make your own meals, which honestly saves a fortune since restaurant prices in Karpacz can be brutal during high season. The whole setup works especially well if you’re planning to tackle some of the longer hiking trails – Śnieżka or the Samotnia hut route – because you can prep your own food and get an early start without waiting for hotel breakfast service. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward key-passing dance you sometimes get with apartment rentals. They actually seem to care about the experience, which you’d think would be standard but really isn’t these days.
