The apartment itself has this lived-in comfort that I really appreciate – it’s not trying to be some Instagram-perfect space, but everything works and feels thoughtful. The kitchen actually has proper knives and decent pans, which… well, if you’ve ever tried to cook anything in most rental places, you’ll understand why that’s a small miracle. The hosts left some local recommendations that weren’t just the obvious tourist spots – they pointed me toward this little trail that starts basically behind the building and connects to the main hiking network without dealing with the crowds at the popular trailheads. Honestly, that local knowledge made my whole trip. The 8.8 rating makes sense to me because it’s one of those places that doesn’t wow you with fancy amenities, but it gets all the basics right and then adds these thoughtful touches that show someone actually cares about your experience. If you’re the type who wants a pool and room service, this isn’t your place. But if you want a comfortable base for exploring the mountains without the noise and chaos of staying right in the tourist center, and you appreciate when the little things just work properly – well, you’ll probably end up booking it again like I did.
