Okay, so I’ll be honest – I almost walked past this place twice before I found it. Apartament Sandra sits quietly on ul Ogrodnicza, which is actually perfect because you’re literally a stone’s throw from all the Karpacz action but without the tourist chaos right outside your window. The building itself isn’t flashy or anything, but once you get inside apartment 7/28, you realize that’s completely beside the point.
What actually got me was how Sandra (and yes, that’s the owner’s real name) has thought through everything a tired traveler actually needs. The kitchen isn’t just for show – I mean, there’s proper cookware, not those flimsy tourist apartment pans that make cooking eggs feel like a battle. The coffee setup alone made my mornings so much better, especially when I could sit by the window watching locals head to work while planning my day in the mountains. You know what really surprised me though? The internet actually works. Like, properly works for video calls, which honestly saved me when I had to jump on a work meeting mid-vacation. The whole place feels like someone’s well-loved home rather than a rental property, if that makes sense.
Location-wise, you’re maybe a seven-minute walk to the main drag where all the restaurants cluster together, but here’s the thing locals know – head the other direction toward the residential streets and you’ll find this little bakery that opens at 6 AM with the best zapiekanka I had in Poland. Sandra actually mentioned it during check-in, along with about five other spots that definitely aren’t in any guidebook. The parking situation is way less stressful than most places in Karpacz too – there’s actually space, which anyone who’s driven around this town in summer will appreciate. I stayed in late September when things were quieter, but even then I could tell this would be a solid base during busy season because you can escape the crowds without missing out on anything. The 9.5 rating honestly makes sense when you add it all up – it’s not trying to be some luxury experience, but everything just works the way it should, plus Sandra genuinely seems to care that people have a good time in her town.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
