The apartment itself is… well, it’s exactly what you’d want if you’re traveling with family or a group. I mean, hotel rooms get cramped fast when you’ve got kids or you’re trying to spread out gear after a day hiking in the Tatras. Here you’ve got actual space to breathe, a kitchen where you can make coffee without hunting for overpriced hotel café, and – this is key – you can store all those hiking boots and rain jackets without your room smelling like a locker room. The location is honestly perfect if you know Zakopane at all. You’re maybe a seven-minute walk to Krupówki (that’s the main pedestrian strip where everyone ends up), but you’re far enough away that you won’t hear drunk tourists singing Polish folk songs at 2 AM. I stayed here in late September, and while Krupówki was still buzzing with weekend crowds, Zamoyskiego Street was quiet enough that I could actually sleep with the windows cracked open.

What really sold me on this place was the little stuff – like how the owner actually responds to messages quickly (rare in vacation rentals, let’s be honest), and there’s decent parking nearby, which is basically gold in Zakopane’s narrow streets. The apartment gets morning light but doesn’t turn into a greenhouse by afternoon, and the WiFi actually works well enough for video calls, if you’re one of those people who can’t fully disconnect. Look, it’s a 3-star place, so don’t expect marble bathrooms or fancy amenities, but everything works, it’s clean, and you get that authentic “living in Zakopane” vibe without sacrificing comfort. Plus – and this matters if you’re planning to cook – the kitchen has actual sharp knives and decent pots, not the usual vacation rental dregs. If you’re the type who prefers character over pristine hotel polish, and you want to experience Zakopane like someone who actually lives there rather than just passing through, this spot delivers.
