During the day, you can walk to Krupówki (the main pedestrian street) in maybe ten minutes, but honestly, I found myself just hanging out on the bulwary more often than fighting the crowds on the main drag. The local ice cream cart that parks near the bridge around 2 PM became our daily ritual – the owner, this friendly older guy, remembered our kids’ favorite flavors by day three. There’s also this little playground tucked behind the trees that most tourists miss, but the local families know about it. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no endless paperwork or upselling, just someone who clearly cares about the place showing us around and pointing out practical stuff like where to park (which, let’s be honest, can be a nightmare in Zakopane during summer). The 9-star rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not fancy in a flashy way, but everything just works, and works well.
