The apartment itself is pretty straightforward – it’s got that practical Polish mountain vibe rather than trying too hard to be fancy. Three stars feels about right; it’s clean and functional with decent WiFi, though the furniture’s seen better days and the shower pressure can be hit or miss depending on the time of day. What I actually loved was the kitchen setup – properly stocked with real dishes and cookware, not those flimsy tourist apartment basics. Perfect if you want to grab some oscypek and bread from the morning market on Gubałówka and make yourself a proper breakfast. The heating works well too, which matters more than you’d think when you’re dealing with Tatra mountain weather in shoulder season.

Location-wise, you’re genuinely well-positioned here. Tesco’s literally around the corner for groceries, and you can walk to the cable car station for Gubałówka in about ten minutes – though honestly, I’d skip that tourist trap and head straight for the trails instead. The apartment’s close enough to everything that you don’t need to stress about parking (which is a nightmare in central Zakopane anyway), but far enough from the weekend party crowds that you can actually sleep. I stayed during late spring when the hiking season was just picking up, and while there was definitely some street noise during the day, evenings were surprisingly quiet. The 7/10 rating seems fair – it’s not going to blow your mind, but it does exactly what it promises without any major disappointments. If you’re looking for a base camp rather than a luxury experience, and you want to be walking distance from both the town center and trailheads without paying resort prices, this works really well.
