You know what caught me off guard about Apartament Przy Beczce? The name literally means “By the Barrel” in Polish, and honestly, I was expecting some quirky beer-themed place. Instead, what I found on Borusiaka Street was this incredibly cozy ground-floor apartment that feels more like staying at your Polish grandmother’s house – if your grandmother had impeccable taste and a 9.7 rating on booking sites.
The location in Kowary is actually pretty brilliant if you’re planning to explore the Karkonosze Mountains. I mean, most people rush straight to Karpacz or Szklarska Poręba, but Kowary sits right at the base of Śnieżka – you can literally see the peak from some spots in town. The apartment itself is tucked into this quiet residential street where the biggest excitement is usually someone walking their dog. No traffic noise, no late-night party crowds, just the occasional sound of neighbors chatting over garden fences. The hosts clearly know what they’re doing – check-in was smooth, parking is right there (which, trust me, matters when you’ve been driving mountain roads all day), and they left these thoughtful little touches that make you feel welcome rather than like you’re just another booking number.
What really sold me on the place was how it balances that authentic Polish home feeling with actual comfort. The apartment has this lived-in warmth – wooden touches, proper thick curtains that actually block out light, and a kitchen where you can make real meals instead of just heating up instant noodles. I spent a morning there making coffee and planning hikes, and it felt natural, not like I was performing some vacation routine. The whole setup works especially well if you’re using Kowary as a base for day trips – it’s close enough to the hiking trails that you can be on a mountain path within twenty minutes, but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually unwind in the evenings. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the apartment just smells right – like clean linens and maybe a hint of wood polish, not that artificial hotel air freshener smell. Those small details add up. The 9.7 rating makes sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be fancy or Instagram-perfect, it’s just genuinely comfortable and well-run by people who seem to care about their guests having a good experience rather than just filling beds.

Spacious rooms, well equipped and clean. Secure parking and quiet neighbourhood.
What could be improved: It was raining and unusually cold for summer. As the heating was off nothing was drying. Not really anybodies fault.

Kowary są świetną lokalizacją jako baza do zwiedzania okolicy, znacznie lepszą niż Karpacz z którego często ciężko się wydostać przez korki. Mieliśmy do dyspozycji całe duże mieszkanie na parterze, zadbane i ciche, z zacienionym tarasem w dobrze utrzymanym ogrodzie. Gospodarze są bardzo mili i pomocni.

Bardzo czysty i dobrze ulokowany obiekt. Bardzo miła osoba zarządzająca. Parking prywatny ułatwia korzystanie dla rodzin - blisko wejścia parkujemy auto. Bezpiecznie dla dzieci. Niedaleko sklep Netto Rosmann itd - wszystko pod ręką.

Apartament spełnił wszystkie nasze oczekiwania. Przestronne, komfortowe sypialnie, w pełni wyposażona kuchnia, łazienka z wygodnym prysznicem oraz duży taras, wszystko czyste i funkcjonalnie urządzone. Właścicielka przesympatyczna, wszystko wyjaśniła na samym początku i zapewniła całkowitą swobodę i autonomię podczas pobytu. Serdecznie polecam!

Apartament przestronny, dobrze przygotowany i wyposażony . Miejsce do wspólnego spędzania czasu znakomite. Cisza i spokój w około. Wszędzie blisko - do Karpacza 12 min autem. Przemiła gospodyni. Świetne miejsce wypadowe do ościennych miast.
W pobliżu Netto i świetny bar "Urania" ze znakomitą kuchnią.
