The location is actually brilliant if you know Zakopane at all. Tetmajera runs parallel to the main Krupówki strip, which means you’re literally a two-minute walk from all the action – the restaurants, the highland cheese vendors, those little bars that get rowdy after 10pm – but you’re tucked away enough that you can actually sleep at night. I mean, if you’ve ever stayed right on Krupówki during peak season, you know what I’m talking about. The apartment itself feels way more upscale than the star rating suggests. Clean lines, modern fixtures, and honestly, the view from the window gives you just enough of the Tatras to remind you why you came to this corner of Poland in the first place. The kitchen setup is proper too – not just some mini-fridge situation, but actual space to make coffee in the morning or heat up those oscypek you bought at the market (because let’s face it, you’re definitely buying oscypek).

What really sold me though was the little details. The heating actually works – crucial when you’re here in shoulder season and those mountain temperatures drop faster than you expect. There’s decent water pressure, which sounds boring until you’ve spent a day hiking around Morskie Oko and desperately need a real shower. And the check-in process? Smooth as anything, no standing around in some cramped lobby. The owners clearly get that people choose apartments because they want that home-away-from-home feeling, not hotel formality. Parking can be a bit tricky on this street – it’s not like there’s a dedicated lot – but honestly, that’s Zakopane for you. Most people end up walking everywhere anyway once they settle in. The 9 rating makes complete sense when you consider what you’re getting for the price point. This isn’t luxury accommodation, but it’s thoughtful, comfortable, and genuinely well-maintained. Plus, you’re in the heart of one of Poland’s most gorgeous mountain towns, where half the appeal is stepping outside your door and immediately being part of the whole highland culture experience. Whether you’re here for the hiking, the food scene, or just to escape city life for a weekend, this place gives you a solid base without any of the tourist-trap nonsense you find closer to the main squares.
