I mean, you’re staying in someone’s actual apartment building on Paryskich Street, and there’s something kind of charming about walking up regular stairs instead of through some marble hotel lobby with dramatic lighting.

The location is actually brilliant if you know Zakopane at all – Paryskich runs parallel to the main Krupówki strip, so you’re maybe a three-minute walk from all the tourist chaos, but far enough away that you can actually sleep at night. I stayed here in late spring, and while everyone else was dealing with the crowds and street performers until midnight, I could open my windows and just hear… well, normal neighborhood sounds. Kids playing, someone’s TV, the occasional dog barking – it felt like staying in an actual Polish mountain town instead of a tourist theme park. The Tatra mountains are right there when you look south from the building, and you get these glimpses between other apartments that remind you why you came to Zakopane in the first place.

What really works about this setup is that it’s genuinely a three-star place that knows exactly what it is. The apartment itself is clean and functional – nothing Instagram-worthy, but everything you need actually works (I’m looking at you, dodgy shower heads in half the hotels I’ve stayed in). The kitchen area is small but you can make coffee in the morning without having to hunt down an overpriced café before you’re even awake. Parking was easier than I expected, though I’d definitely ask about it when you book because street parking around there can get interesting during peak season. The building manager or whoever handles check-ins was pretty straightforward – no fuss, just gave me the keys and pointed out where everything was. Sometimes that’s all you want, you know? The rating of 9 out of 10 from other guests makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it’s honest and it delivers on what it promises. If you’re the type who needs a concierge and daily housekeeping, this probably isn’t your spot. But if you want a clean, quiet base for exploring the Tatras without paying resort prices, and you like the idea of staying somewhere that feels more like a neighborhood than a tourist zone, then yeah – Pardałówka actually nails it.
