Apartament 102 Orlik z Prywatną Sauną i Widokiem na Śnieżkę – 5D Apartments
You know what really gets me about this place? It’s one of those finds that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special, even though honestly, the 9.9 rating probably gave it away already. Apartament 102 Orlik sits right on Strażacka street in Karpacz, and I mean right where you want to be – close enough to everything but tucked away from the main tourist chaos that hits the town center during ski season.
The private sauna is what initially caught my attention (because who doesn’t want to sweat it out after a day on the slopes?), but it’s actually the Śnieżka views that’ll get you. I’m talking about waking up and just… there it is, Poland’s highest peak staring back at you through the windows. The apartment itself feels properly lived-in rather than sterile hotel-room clean, if that makes sense – like someone actually thought about what you’d need rather than just checking boxes. The kitchen’s got real dishes, not those flimsy things you find in most rentals, and there’s enough space to spread out without tripping over your gear. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward key-hunting drama you sometimes get with apartment stays.
What really works here is the location context that most visitors miss. Strażacka puts you within walking distance of the cable car station, but you’re also close to those quieter hiking trails that locals use to avoid the crowds heading up to Śnieżka the obvious way. I mean, the obvious route’s fine, but if you’re staying a few days, you’ll appreciate having options. Parking wasn’t the nightmare I expected either – there’s actually space, which in Karpacz during peak times feels like winning the lottery. The building itself is well-maintained without being flashy, and honestly, the sound insulation is better than most places I’ve stayed in the area. You’ll hear some street noise during the day, but nothing that’ll keep you up at night. After spending time in the mountains, whether you’re skiing Koopa or hiking the ridges, coming back to your own sauna feels ridiculously luxurious – and the views of Śnieżka changing throughout the day never really get old, even if you’re not normally the type to sit around staring out windows.
You'll need to let the property know in advance what time you'll arrive.
