Apartament Oberconiówka SPA & Jacuzzi Zakopane by Renters Prestige
Look, I’ve stayed in plenty of places in Zakopane, but this apartment on Oberconiówka actually surprised me. The name’s a mouthful – Apartament Oberconiówka SPA & Jacuzzi Zakopane by Renters Prestige – but honestly, it lives up to the fancy billing. You’re tucked away on this quiet residential street that most tourists never find, which is honestly part of the charm. It’s maybe a 10-minute walk to Krupówki (the main pedestrian street where everyone goes), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the constant noise and crowds.
The apartment itself feels like someone’s stylish mountain retreat rather than a typical rental. The jacuzzi is legit – not one of those tiny hotel tubs they sometimes pass off as a spa feature. I mean, after a day hiking in the Tatras or dealing with the summer tourist madness, soaking in that thing while looking out at the mountains… it’s pretty perfect. The whole place has this modern mountain vibe going on, you know? Clean lines but still cozy, with enough space that you don’t feel cramped even if you’re staying with friends or family. The kitchen’s actually functional too – I’ve been in too many vacation rentals where they give you a hotplate and call it a day, but here you can actually cook if you want to save some money instead of eating out every meal.
What really got me was the attention to detail. The heating works properly (crucial in Zakopane winters, trust me), the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes, and the beds are actually comfortable – not those rock-hard mattresses you sometimes get in mountain accommodations. Parking’s included, which is huge because finding a spot near the center can be a nightmare, especially during peak season. The hosts were pretty responsive too – I had a question about the heating controls and got a quick response. You know what else? The building’s quiet. I was worried about noise from other units, but the walls seem solid. The only sounds you really hear are from outside – church bells, the occasional car, birds in the morning. It’s that kind of peaceful that makes you remember why you came to the mountains in the first place. Honestly, with that 9-point rating, I expected it to be good, but it exceeded what I thought a 4-star place would offer. If you want to experience Zakopane without feeling like you’re staying in a hostel or breaking the bank at those big resort hotels, this spot hits the sweet spot.
