This place sits right on Jaszczurówka street, which – if you’ve never been to Zakopane – is actually one of those quieter residential areas where you can still hear the morning birds instead of just tourist chatter. It’s maybe a 15-minute walk to the main Krupówki strip, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the weekend party crowds stumbling around at 2 AM.

The apartment itself is pretty solid for what you’re paying. I mean, it’s officially 3 stars, but it punches above its weight in some ways. The jacuzzi and sauna situation is legit – not those tiny hotel tubs that barely fit one person. The sauna actually gets properly hot (I’m talking authentic Finnish-style heat), and after a day hiking around Morskie Oko or dealing with the cable car lines up Kasprowy Wierch, soaking in that jacuzzi while looking out at the Tatra peaks… well, it’s exactly what you need. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s mountain place than a typical hotel room. Parking was straightforward too, which – trust me – matters a lot in Zakopane where finding a spot near the center can turn into a 20-minute ordeal.

What really works here is the location balance. You’re close enough to walk into town when you want that whole tourist experience (the oscypek cheese vendors, the horse-drawn carriages, the slightly overpriced mountain gear shops), but when you want to actually relax, you can retreat to this quieter corner of Jaszczurówka. The building itself is pretty typical for the area – nothing fancy from the outside, but clean and well-maintained inside. Check-in was smooth, though the owner’s English is limited, so brush up on your basic Polish phrases or have Google Translate ready. The 8-point rating makes sense to me – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it delivers exactly what it promises. Honestly, after staying in some of those bigger hotels closer to the center where you’re paying premium prices for paper-thin walls and breakfast that tastes like it came from a factory, this felt refreshingly straightforward. If you’re the type who wants to spend your days exploring the mountains and your evenings actually unwinding instead of fighting crowds, this spot hits the sweet spot.
