I mean, Karpacz gets pretty bustling during ski season, but this little spot at 15A manages to feel tucked away despite being smack in the center of things.

The apartment itself is on the ground floor (parter, as they say), which honestly was a relief after hauling ski gear around the mountains all day. No trudging up three flights of stairs when you’re exhausted. The whole setup feels more like staying at a friend’s place than some sterile hotel room – there’s actual personality here, and the 9.3 rating makes total sense once you settle in. The owner clearly gets that people coming to Karpacz want somewhere that feels like home base, not just a place to crash. What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays at night, even though you’re walking distance from all the restaurants and that main strip where everyone hangs out after hitting the slopes.

Here’s the thing about this location that most people don’t realize until they’re here – you’re positioned perfectly for both the tourist stuff and the actual local life of Karpacz. Walk five minutes one way and you’re at the base of the cable car routes heading up Śnieżka, but walk five minutes the other direction and you’ll find yourself at this little bakery that locals actually use (the one with the incredible szarlotka that’s basically apple pie but better). The apartment sits in this sweet spot where you can easily get to Kocioł Łomniczki for hiking without dealing with the parking nightmare that happens around the main tourist areas during summer months. Plus, and this might sound silly, but there’s something really satisfying about falling asleep to the sound of the Łomnica flowing past – it’s like natural white noise that actually works. I’ve stayed in fancier places in Karpacz that cost twice as much, but they were either too far from everything or right in the middle of party central. This place gets the balance right, which is probably why it’s booked solid during peak season.
