I’ll be honest – when I first saw the address on Nadrzeczna Street, I wasn’t expecting much. The building looks pretty standard from the outside, you know, typical Polish residential block. But man, was I wrong about this place. The moment you step into apartment 10/10, it’s like someone took all the best parts of staying with a really design-savvy friend and packaged it into the perfect Karpacz base.
What really gets me about this spot is how the owners actually thought about what travelers need. The kitchen – and I mean this – is better equipped than most people’s actual homes. You’ve got proper knives, decent pots, even little touches like good olive oil and local salt waiting for you. The living area has this amazing view that looks out toward the Sudeten foothills, and honestly, I spent way too many mornings just sitting there with coffee watching the light change on the mountains. The bedroom is quiet too, which matters because Karpacz can get pretty lively during peak season, but Nadrzeczna is just far enough from the main tourist drag that you actually sleep well.
Here’s what I really appreciate though – the location is absolutely perfect for anyone who wants to explore the real Karpacz, not just the touristy bits. You’re maybe a 10-minute walk to the cable car station for Śnieżka (Poland’s highest peak, if you’re into that sort of thing), but you’re also close enough to those little family-run restaurants that locals actually go to. There’s this bakery about three blocks down that does incredible szarlotka – apple cake that’ll ruin you for all other desserts. Parking was no drama either, which honestly surprised me given how cramped some of these mountain towns can be. The owners left really detailed instructions about everything, including which hiking trails are worth your time and which tourist traps to skip. That kind of local insight is gold when you’re trying to make the most of a few days in the mountains. The 9.9 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not fancy in that sterile hotel way, but it’s thoughtful and comfortable and feels like someone actually cares that you have a good time in their town.
