Overview
You know what really caught me off guard about Apartament Montagne? I was expecting just another generic mountain rental, but this place actually feels like someone’s thoughtfully designed home that they happen to let travelers borrow. The location on Grunwaldzka is honestly perfect – you’re close enough to Zakopane’s main drag that you can walk to those tourist restaurants everyone talks about, but far enough up the street that you’re not dealing with the constant buzz of tour buses and street vendors hawking those wooden highlander figurines.
The apartment itself has this really lived-in quality that I mean in the best possible way. The mountain views from the windows are spectacular, especially in the morning when the Tatras catch that early light, and there’s something really satisfying about making your own coffee while looking out at those peaks. The kitchen is actually functional – not just the token kitchenette you usually get – which came in handy because honestly, even I get tired of oscypek and kielbasa after a few days (though don’t tell anyone I said that). The whole place feels clean and well-maintained, but not sterile like some of those chain hotels down in the valley. I noticed little touches that suggest the owners actually care about the space – good linens, decent water pressure in the shower, and thank god, proper heating because November in Zakopane is no joke.
What really sold me on this place was how it worked as a base for exploring the area. You’re literally a fifteen-minute walk from the cable car to Kasprowy Wierch, and if you’re into hiking like I am, the trails up toward Morskie Oko are easily accessible without having to navigate through the worst of Zakopane’s traffic chaos. The neighborhood has this quieter, more residential feel – you’ll hear church bells in the morning instead of tour guides with megaphones, which honestly made all the difference for actually relaxing after long days on the mountain. Parking was surprisingly straightforward too, which anyone who’s driven in Zakopane during peak season will tell you is basically a miracle. The 9-point rating makes total sense when you consider you’re getting genuine mountain apartment living without the inflated resort prices or the need to book six months in advance. It’s the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re experiencing Zakopane the way locals actually live, not just the postcard version of it.

Very clean, comfortable bed, lots of space in the apartment, mountain view from balcony, good location close to main street
So the apartment is basically perfect 😊. After an unexpectedly long travel day we were so happy to arrive here. The apartment lifted up our spirits the moment we walked in. We didn't meet the owner but he sent us a video illustrating how to get in (easy and convenient). Everything and I mean EVERYTHING was top tier, all the way down to the finer details like Christmas themed napkins in the kitchen. We were so impressed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bravo sir, your apartment is not only exceptionally beautiful, it really felt like home. Location✓comfort✓mountain view✓
We will definitely be back in the future!
We have travelled much within Poland and Europe and staid in couple different places in Zakopane as well. But this property we rate as top best we have ever staid in. It’s very very clean. Floors in real wood that when you enter the apartment you feel that amazing smell which doesn’t not annoy. Super clean. Kitchen is equipped with all Bosch - big washing machine, oven, microwave, kettle, grain coffee machine (we even saw full pack of grained coffee in the kitchen for use by the renters), mixer and blender (never even thought such can be available in rented apartments), washing machine in the bathroom, hairdryer and even iron for hairs… that’s wow. Around 5 in great condition frying pans , same number of kettles, dozens of different cups, glasses for wine, Champaign, whiskey, water, beer. I all the time had a feeling I came as a guest to someone’s home who is not greedy. You have access to chemicals, dishwasher liquids, washing machine capsules, toilet paper, towels, blankets, different kitchen aids like folia, aluminum, sandwich bags. Bathroom super clean. No fungus anywhere. Balcony has a view to mountains and equipped with three wooden chairs and wooden table. All the furniture in apartment made of real wood. Tables, chairs, komodo, huge tv in saloon, amazing number of table games and magazines. I could write more and more cause still amazed by the owners who are not like most - they care that you come and stay truly like home with access to all in and in super comfort. I reminded highly and when come again , definitely same place
