So I stayed at Apartament LOVE TATRas last spring, and honestly? The name made me a bit skeptical at first – I mean, “LOVE” in all caps felt a little cheesy. But you know what, it actually turned out to be one of those places that surprises you in good ways. The location on Bulwary Słowackiego is pretty solid – you’re basically a 10-minute walk from Krupówki (that’s the main tourist strip for anyone who hasn’t been to Zakopane), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with the weekend crowds stumbling around at midnight.

The apartment itself is clean and functional, though I’ll be honest, it’s not going to blow you away with luxury touches. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – the building sits back from the main road a bit, so you don’t get that constant hum of traffic that can drive you crazy when you’re trying to sleep after a day hiking in the Tatras. The windows actually open properly too, which sounds basic but you’d be surprised how many places I’ve stayed where they’re painted shut or something. There’s decent space to spread out your gear if you’re here for outdoor stuff, and the kitchen setup is better than most – I managed to cook a proper breakfast before heading out to Morskie Oko, which saved me from another overpriced hotel breakfast situation.

Here’s what really works about this place though – it feels like someone who actually lives in Zakopane set it up, not some corporate chain. The local recommendations they left were spot-on (there’s this little pierogi place about three blocks away that I never would’ve found otherwise), and when I had an issue with the hot water on my second day, the response was quick and actually helpful. The building itself is nothing fancy – sort of typical Polish apartment block style – but everything functions the way it should. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle during peak season, but there’s usually something within a block or two if you’re not picky. I’d say it’s perfect for people who want a decent base for exploring the mountains without paying resort prices, and honestly, the three-star rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be something it’s not, which I respect.
